I saw this ornament in a Disney store, and had to get it. There are plenty of Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments out there, and merchandise for this movie in general floods the market. However, this particular ornament is unique. It shows Jack Skellington at his lowest point, still dressed in the burnt remains of his Santa suit, sitting atop a nicely sculpted snow-covered angel. As far as Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments go, this one looks more at home on a Christmas tree than most, and would be a great addition to any fan's collection.I have just one word of warning: Be careful with the character's neck. The ribbon to hang the ornament is attached to the back of Jack's skull, so the entire weight of the ornament is held up by a wire in the character's neck. The first version of the ornament I received had Jack's head bent sharply to one side and the white coating over the wire was cracked (No worries, though. The people at the Disney store near me were more than happy to provide a replacement with no hassles.). I examined the wire, and it's quite thin and easily bent. Take care with this ornament, and wrap it properly for storage. The molded styrofoam boxes provided should keep the ornament safe as long as the box isn't handled too roughly.

I bought this as a gift for my friend. I had no plans of even opening the box when I gave it to her but am glad I did. I received it and the head was broken off. Being that I live in Hawaii I got it WELL after her birthday and decided I would try to fix it myself. It has broke 3 TIMES. I'm sorry but they are VERY cheaply made. Every disney ornament I own has had to be glued at some point. Unless you are going to put it in a glass box that never gets moved or touched I would be leary about buying it. With that being said it is a cute ornament and if it weren't so easily broken I would consider buying one for our tree. However now I'm back to square one and have to re buy another gift for my friend.
