By S. Boyles
I got this toy because I love Jack Skellington and I was so excited about how cool it looked. My problem was that not two minutes after taking it out of the package the neck broke while I was trying to change it's heads- a feature that the toy is supposed to be able to do! I am not a child, either, I am 32 and am a professional artist... this toy is awesome, but the fact that it broke so easily and quickly is very wrong!

As a huge fan of Nightmare before Christmas I purchased this figure for my desk. He and Zero arrived in pristine packaging in the original unopened box.The packaging contains:One jack with 3 changeable headsOne "Zero"And a metal holder with plastic stand.Upon taking jack out of the box I was very impressed with the level of detail and scale. From the the pin stripping on his suit down to the pumpkin on Zero's nose. Jack's shoulders, elbows, knees and wrists are movable. The shoulder elbows and knees move via bendable "joint". And the wrist via twisting. This figure is perfect for any older Nightmare fan. I would not suggest this for anyone under 12, as he is very delicate. Within the first few moments of trying to position Jack his leg popped out of his hip socket. This was no big deal, due to the fact I could easily pop it back in. Also, I found changing his head was a bit difficult as I was afraid of pulling/twisting too hard.Overall this figure is a beautiful display piece that any fan would be happy to have!

Who doesn't like Jack Skellington? In the Kingdom Hearts video game series Halloween Town and its skeleton hero are fan favorites. That being said, I immediately bought this figure, complete with interchangeable heads and Zero when I saw it on the store shelf. Its a gorgeous figure, with plenty of points of articulation for easy posing, I don't however recommend it for any one that isn't going to collect it or anyone that is going to play with it roughly. The Square Enix brand of action figures, I have consistently found, makes great figures with interchangeable parts and articulation. However that is also its downfall. They are a bit too well made. The joints are always stiff and you have to be careful posing them or risk breaking pieces off all together, even on more sturdy figures than Jack Skellington, and pieces that are supposed to be interchangeable are difficult to remove if they don't snap off completely ruining it and requiring a permanent fix such as industrial strength adhesive. Great for collecting, in or out of the box, but not for playing.
